SINGAPORE, Oct. 23 (Xinhua) -- Singapore reported 4,454 new cases of COVID-19 on Sunday, bringing the total tally to 2,064,163.

Of the new cases, 547 were detected through PCR (polymerase chain reaction) tests and 3,907 through ARTs (antigen rapid test), according to statistics released by the country's Ministry of Health.

Among the PCR cases, 531 were local transmissions and 16 were imported cases. Among the ART cases with mild symptoms and assessed to be of low risk, there were 3,749 local transmissions and 158 imported cases.

A total of 600 cases are currently warded in hospitals, with nine in intensive care units.

Two more deaths from COVID-19 were reported on Sunday, bringing the total death toll to 1,662.
