Phnom Penh (FN), Oct. 18 – The Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC) granted licenses to five new investment projects with a total investment of more than USD 50 million.

The five projects are as follow:

1. TELCOTECH LTD, a project to establish and operate a data center located at Kampus Building, Monivong Blvd., Sangkat Tonle Bassac, Khan Chamkarmon, Phnom Penh, has an investment capital of approximately $ USD 27.7 million and can generate 47 jobs.

2. JINZHENG HOME DECORATION (CAMBODIA) CO., LTD, a project to build a factory to produce lamps, electronics, spare parts and electrical equipment made of plastic, acrylic and crystal, located in Trapeang Pring village, Popel commune, Tram Kak district, Takeo province, has an investment capital of approximately USD 8.9 million and can generate 1,240 jobs.

3. BESWIN FASHION (CAMBODIA) CO., LTD, a project to establish a garment factory, pillowcases, mattresses, blankets and curtains, located in Prey Popay village, Tuol Ampil commune, Bor Seth district, Kampong Speu province, has an investment capital of approximately USD 5.9 million and can generate 2,636 jobs.

4. PET NEW MATERIALS (CAMBODIA) CO., LTD, a project to establish a factory to produce solar panels, which is located in Prey Pong village, Sambo commune, Samrong Tong district, Kampong Speu province, has an investment capital of approximately USD 5.8 million and can generate 151 jobs.

5. MAXWILL GARMENT (CAMBODIA) CO., LTD, a project to establish a garment factory located in Lot 1, Building 2 and 4, National Road 4, Vall Sor Village, Vall Sor Commune, Samrong Tong District, Kampong Speu Province, has an investment capital of approximately USD 5.3 Million and can generate 1,586 jobs.
