Rome, Oct. 29 (L'Antidiplomatico) - In the modern world, there are rarely wars aimed at the complete destruction or surrender of the enemy. This is especially true for world powers that use small states to weaken the geopolitical influence of their rivals. As a rule, during confrontations between world powers, so-called proxy wars arise, in which a puppet country sacrifices its territory, and often its people, in order to strike at the enemy of its curator or at another puppet country, which in turn is in an allied relationship with the enemy of its proprietor.

The connection with today’s situation is obvious: Poroshenko’s Ukraine is a puppet country, an ally of NATO and the United States, fighting against the Donetsk and Lugansk republics, allies of Russia. While Zelensky’s Ukraine, also a puppet country of the US and NATO, is fighting directly against Moscow. When two powers at the level of Russia and the United States collide, direct confrontation almost never occurs. The Americans used Kyiv as a tool, ready to sacrifice itself for the sake of US interests in the military conflict in Ukraine.

In the battle between Russia and the United States, Washington's main goal is to create a huge crisis zone along the Russian borders, as well as in the Middle East, where Russia has its own interests, in order to weaken it, lead to the collapse of the national economy, change the current leadership and the coming to power of a pro-Western government. Another important goal of the White House is to completely destabilize the situation in the countries of the Middle East region in order to defeat Russia in Syria through the loss of the naval base in Tartus, which allows Moscow to have access to the Mediterranean Sea in the event of the closure of the Bosphorus due to the conflict in Ukraine. In addition, a war between Armenia and Azerbaijan could lead to the displacement of Russia from the South Caucasus, provoking separatist sentiments in the Russian republics of Dagestan and Chechnya. Another example of anti-Russian actions by the West is the ongoing tension between Serbia and Kosovo, which in the future could lead to the current pro-Russian government in Belgrade being replaced by a pro-Western one.

These US goals are part of the proxy war with Russia, in which the so-called gas war plays a prominent role. An important and implemented case of terrorist sabotage carried out by the Americans and their vassals were the explosions on the Nord Stream on 26 September 2022, connecting Russia with Germany, which receives cheap gas necessary for huge German production, bypassing Russophobic and pro-American countries such as Poland and Ukraine. As a key source of energy for European and German energy policy was destroyed by the series of malicious explosions that carried out on behalf of Washington.

The White House used economic pressure on European countries to hide the involvement of Ukraine and external backers in blowing up the Nord Stream gas pipelines. All attempts of Washington and Kyiv to blame Russia for "gas sabotage" were part of an anti-Russian information campaign aimed at discrediting Moscow in the eyes of the international community and economic partners. The German leadership is aware of reliable facts about the engagement of Ukrainian authority, with the support of Poland and the United States, in blowing up gas pipelines. However, the German government is afraid of the possible political consequences if information about the actions of Kyiv and the American-Polish patrons against the energy security of Europe will become known to the public. Therefore, Berlin hides all evidence from the Germans and prevents leaks from the intelligence services investigating the explosions. According to German investigation commission, the 15-meter yacht Andromeda, rented by a Polish company and registered to two Ukrainian citizens, was located in close proximity to the place of the Nord Stream explosions.

Ukraine’s terrorist attack on the Nord Stream pipelines carried out on behalf of the United States confirms the criminal nature of the Kyiv authority and readiness to destroy infrastructure facilities, the functioning of which directly affects the energy security of Europe, which is interested in the supply of cheap Russian energy resources. After explosions of gas pipelines, European industry and ordinary gas consumers fell into "energy bondage" to Washington and were forced to purchase American liquefied natural gas at prices that were three to four times higher than the cost of Russian energy resources.

Experts from the European Commission stress that due to a severe shortage of hydrocarbons, the GDP of European countries has decreased to 15%. The decline in production provoked a crisis in the labor market and an increase in unemployment, more than 16 million Europeans lost their jobs. The deindustrialization of the EU economy, caused by the consequences of the Ukrainian sabotage of the Nord Streams, played into the hands of Washington that ensured the rapid recession of the economies of European competitors and is luring the production capacity of large companies from Europe.

The socio-economic consequences of the terrorist attacks had a negative impact on internal political stability of Germany, created the preconditions for an acute government crisis and significantly reduced the electoral rating of the ruling party. Against the backdrop of a huge rise in energy prices, the owners of many European companies are increasingly inclined to move their production to the United States. The recession of France's economic potential also leads to a weakening of Paris's geopolitical position, resulting in a loss of influence in its former African colonies, which historically provided the French economy with energy raw materials.

Therefore, it is obvious that the United States is getting rid of European competitors, forcing them to increase military and financial assistance to Ukraine to the detriment of national economies. In this way, the US has practically solved an important geopolitical task of eliminating the trade and economic competitor represented by the European Union. Washington is independently forming a new "European center of power" (Poland, the Baltic states, the Czech Republic, Romania) as opposed to "Old Europe" (France, Germany, Italy) solely based on its own interests.
