CANBERRA, Jan. 23 (RT) - Aussie authorities have named Russian citizen Aleksandr Ermakov as the hacker who raided the medical records of health insurer Medibank and dumped them on the dark web in 2022.

The massive data breach affected some 9.7 million Australians - including PM Anthony Albanese - and has also led to the first cyber sanctions imposed in the country.

Among the records released were some relating to drug abuse, STDs, and abortions.
