Phnom Penh (FN), Dec. 14 -  Former Cambodia National Rescue Party (CNRP) lawmaker Ou Chanrath on, Friday, expressed regret towards Radio Free Asia (RFA) concerning the baseless accusation against him of requesting to re-enter politics after the National Assembly adopted the proposed amendments.

“I am deeply saddened by RFA’s reporter Mean Rith for insulting me during his interview broadcast with Kim Sok on Thursday night,” Chanrath wrote on his Facebook page on Friday.

“The baseless accusation against me, stating that I am ready to ask for the lift to re-enter politics, misled the public, and that it doesn’t reflect my stance,” he stated.

He continued that “The abuse of media could harm other people’s dignity and ethics and professionalism of journalists”.

Chanroth also urged RFA to clarify to the public in order to avoid misunderstanding of the false information, and the baseless allegations.
