Phnom Penh (FN), Feb. 26 – Prime Minister Hun Sen and His Excellency Nguyen Phu Trong, General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party and President of the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam, presided over the signing ceremony of five documents at the Peace Palace Phnom Penh on Tuesday.

The five documents include (1) Addendum on the Revision of Article 6 and Article 17 of the Agreement between the Government of the Kingdom of Cambodia and the Government of the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam on Waterway Transportation.

(2) Protocol on Amendment to the Protocol for Implementation of the Agreement between the Government of the Kingdom of Cambodia and the Government of the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam on Road Transportation.

(3) Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Finance of the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam and the Secretariat General of the National Assembly of the Kingdom of Cambodia on Provision of the Grant for the Project of Construction of new administrative buildings for Secretariat General of the National Assembly of Cambodia.

(4) Arrangement on Bilateral Trade Enhancement between the Government of the Kingdom of Cambodia and the Government of the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam.

(5) Memorandum of Understanding on Tourism Cooperation 2019-2021 between the Ministry of Tourism of the Kingdom of Cambodia and Viet Nam Airlines.

His Excellency Nguyen Phu Trong visits Cambodia from 25-26 February 2019 at the invitation of His Majesty King Norodom Sihamoni, King of Cambodia.

It is the first ever visit of the President to the kingdom since his assumed office on 23 October 2018.
