Phnom Penh (FN), May 2 - Union of Journalist Federations of Cambodia (UJFC) joins with national and international journalists from all over the world to celebrate World Press Freedom Day, 3 May 2019.

According to its media statement released Wednesday, UJFC declares this year to fellow journalists to uphold: “press freedom for national interests, world peace and community of shared future.”

"Media in digital age has to counter fake news. We have to believe that fake news will die once real information is published. Finally, only truthful information will serve better decision making, good governance, healthy democracy, social accountability, conflict resolution and policy making," UJFC wrote in the media statement.
