Phnom Penh (FN), June 13 - Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces and Commander of the Royal Cambodian Army Liet. Gen. Hun Manet was warmly received with a welcome lunch by Singaporean Defense Minister Dr. Ng Eng Hen on 12 June in Singapore.

“Both reaffirmed strong bilateral defense ties between Cambodia-Singapore,” Dr. Ng Eng Hen wrote on his Facebook.

He thanks for Cambodia's strong support and presence in multilateral fora hosted by Singapore.

“Singapore's and Cambodia's defence ministries will continue to work closely together to address common security challenges in our region,” he added.

Lieu. Gen. Hun Manet reiterated that peace and stability are prerequisites for development.

“Similar to Cambodia’s development owing to peace and stability over the past two decades, the ASEAN also requires peace and stability for regional development and prosperity,” he stated.

For the happiness of ASEAN people and opportunities for the region to grow, Cambodia and Singapore shall not take peace and stability for granted.
