Phnom Penh (FN), July 17 – The 30-month process of seizing unauthorized administrative documents from foreign immigrants in Cambodia was concluded on 30 June 2019.

According to the report of the General Department of Immigration released today, 17 July, Cambodia has a total of 182,673 immigrants of 11 nationalities.

Within the period of 30 months, police found that at least 73,400 holds illegal documents. The report added that approximately 40,000 copies of unauthorized administrative documents were seized.

Kirth Chantharith, director-general of the immigration, proposed for amendments to the law on immigration and amendments to relevant legal instruments for better management of immigrants.
