Phnom Penh (FN), July 26 – The Government of Cambodia and the Government of the People's Republic of China signed exchange of notes on three projects, worth about USD 26 million.

The three projects include: (1) a project for the renovation of the Cambodia-China friendship building of the Council of Ministers; (2) a project for technical cooperation on technology building of the Council of Ministers; and (3) a project for the supply of scanners to the General Department of Customs and Excise of Cambodia.

The signing ceremony was held on Friday morning in Beijing, China, presided over by Vongsey Visoth, Cambodian secretary of state of the Ministry of Economy and Finance, and Deng Boqing, vice chairperson of China International Development Cooperation Agency.

It is worth noting that from 2001 to July 2019, Cambodia has received USD 6 billion of financial aids from the People's Republic of China. Among those, USD 4.4 billion is a concessional loans under the framework of economic and technical cooperation, and USD 1.6 billion is grant aid.
