Phnom Penh (FN), Sept. 30 – During the thee-day holiday of Pchum Ben, about 1.4 million local and international tourists travelled across Cambodia, according to Tourism Minister Thong Khon on Monday.

“A total of 1,437,988 tourists travelled across the Kingdom during the three-day holiday of Pchum Ben from 27-29 September, an increase of 37 percent compared to same period last year. Among those, 1.3 million was domestic tourists, increased by 35 percent, while foreign tourists was 76,748, increased by 98 percent,” said Minister Thong Khon.

Tourism minister underlined that the growth of tourist number is due to peace and stability, which serve as the foundation of development and the promotion of quality of livings for people of all walks of lives.
