Phnom Penh (FN), Jan. 6 – Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen has encouraged Bangladesh investors to invest in rice processing, warehousing, and rice milling in order to export Cambodian rice to Bangladesh.

Prime minister met with Mohammad Faruk Khan, chairman of Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs of Bangladesh at the Peace Palace on Monday afternoon.

Premier Hun Sen's Personal Secretary Eang Sophalleth said that during the meeting, Mohammad told prime minister on the outcome of the meeting with the Cambodian Parliament, which fosters better relations between the two countries.

The premier expressed great pleasure on the good relations between the two countries; particularly, promoting the relationship between both countries.

“Cambodia and Bangladesh should promote exchanges of visits by the two countries' leaders and officials in order to promote greater mutual understanding and cooperation in the search for alternative cooperation including economic, investment, and trade cooperation,” said Prime Minister Hun Sen.

He also encouraged Bangladesh investors to invest in rice processing in Cambodia and export Cambodian rice to Bangladesh with an affordable price.
