Phnom Penh (FN), Mar. 6 – The Ministry of Health’s Spokesperson Ly Sovann told Fresh News on Friday that the four people who had contacts with the Japanese man had no signs of Covid-19.

“The four are healthy and had no signs of virus. They are put in separate quarantine,” Sovann said.

Among the four, three are Khmer and one is Japanese.

The ministry said on Thursday that at least 44 in Cambodia had contacts with the Japanese man tested positive with Covid-19.

Ministry of Health has received clear information from the Japanese side that the Japanese man is indeed positive with Covid-19 when he arrived in Japan.

The Japanese man is an international businessman. He has recently been to Cambodia, Vietnam, Thailand, the Philippines and Japan and that no sources have confirmed when or where he was infected with Covid-19.
