Phnom Penh (FN), Mar. 21 – To facilitate students' distance learning, the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport will broadcast lectures for grade 9, 10, 11, 12 students with free of charge through Wiki TV online application.

Ministry of Education signed an agreement on "Advertising, Producing and Utilising of Educational Content Project" with Wiki TV of Poscar (Cambodia) Co. Ltd. on Friday, presided over by ministry’s secretary of state Kim Sethany.

"Wiki TV provides an online platform to study, a new technology that will assist students’ distance learning. Currently, the ministry also broadcasts video lessons on Youtube, the ministry's official Facebook page, and the ministry’s e-learning center”, said Director of Information Technology Department Sok Tha.

Distance learning is an effective mechanism to fight Covid-19. Minister of Education Hang Choun Naron announced on 16 March 2020 to shut down all schools and universities of all levels nationwide in Cambodia.

Wiki TV is an application that leverages the latest technology with the aim to promote educational programs, and it is available on App Store, Google Play or Smart TV to stream video lessons taught by teachers with years of experience in response to closure of all educational institutions throughout the Kingdom.
