Phnom Penh (FN), Mar. 30 – The US Embassy in Cambodia has requested the Kingdom to assist the American citizens extending visas amid Covid-19.

US Ambassador to Cambodia, W. Patrick Murphy met Minister of Tourism Thong Khon on Monday afternoon at the ministry.

Ambassador said the United States remains grateful to Cambodia, especially Prime Minister Hun Sen, who allowed Westerdam cruise ship to dock in Sihanoukville.

He added that the celebration of the 70th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Cambodia and the United States was postponed due to Covid-19.

The ambassador said he will encourage more Americans to visit and learn about Cambodia, small country big heart, after the world won battle against Covid-19.

It is worth noting that in 2019, Cambodia received more than 260,000 American tourists out of a total of 6.6 million international tourists.
