Phnom Penh (FN), Jun. 15 – Health Minister Mam Bunheng, on Monday, said that it is mandatory for foreigners entering Cambodia to deposit a testing and quarantine fees of USD 3,000, effective from 15 June 2020.
The statement was made Monday during a meeting on Covid-19 preventive measures hosted by the Ministry of Health with the participations of foreign diplomats, and representatives of WHO, and Pasteur Institute in Cambodia.
It is worth noting that all foreign nationals entering the Kingdom of Cambodia are also required to possess Health Certificate indicating a COVID-19 negative status, issued by competent health authorities of their residing country no more than 72 hours.
Foreign nationals must provide proof of Health Insurance Documents with a minimum medical coverage of not less than USD 50,000 during their intended stay in Cambodia, and must strictly comply with other additional measures as determined by the Royal Government of Cambodia.
According to the travel restriction measures, these requirements for Health Certificate and Health Insurance Documents are wired for any officials of foreign missions and international organizations holding Cambodian diplomatic visa (Visa A) or official visa (Visa B).
To date, Cambodia has confirmed 128 cases of Covid-19. So far, 125 have recovered.
