Phnom Penh (FN), Jul. 1 – Cambodian Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Prak Sokhonn said that Cambodia never forgets faith in humanity and human rights amidst Covid-19 pandemic.

His statement was made Wednesday, addressing at the Policy Dialogue Forum on “Cambodia's Lessons Learnt and Shared Experiences in Response to COVID-19”, held at the National Institute of Diplomacy and International Relations, Cambodia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

”We have shown to the world that irrespective of the crisis, we never forget our faith in humanity and human rights. As a small country with a big heart, Cambodia has provided COVID-19 testing and treatment not only to our own citizens but also to foreign nationals,” Minister Prak Sokhonn said.

“We have rescued the MS Westerdam cruise ship, carrying 2,257 passengers and crews on board, after being turned away by several countries,” he added.

The minister also reiterated Prime Minister Hun Sen’s statement: “How can we talk about human rights if the right to life is not even respected?”.
