Phnom Penh (FN), Oct. 7 – Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen announced that he will preside over the groundbreaking ceremony of the 38-line road construction in Siem Reap in November 2020, speaking at the grand opening of the Chinese-firm Prince Manor Entertainment Center in Kandal’s Kien Svay district.

“The Royal Government has allocated USD 150 million to build 38 roads in Siem Reap. First, our benefit is the infrastructure in our [beautiful] tourist city. Second, workers and local people involved in road construction will also benefit from employments,” the premier said.

Cambodian government announced on 4 September 2020 to allocate USD 150 million of the national budget to build roads in Siem Reap.

“The construction of these roads will improve the living standards of the people and will boost the national economy after COVID19,” Cambodia’s Strongman Hun Sen underlined.

He expressed gratitude to all the ministries and institutions for saving up USD 600 million thanks to reduced expenditure during COVID19, which can now be used to develop the country.
