Phnom Penh (FN), Nov. 3 – Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary Péter Szijjártó paid a courtesy call on Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen on Tuesday at the Peace Palace, Phnom Penh.

On that occasion, the premier also presided over the signing ceremony of three important documents on the areas of air services, water management, and agriculture.

Cambodia and Hungary established formal diplomatic relations in 1956.

Hungary was among the first countries to recognize the People's Republic of Kampuchea following the overthrow of the Khmer Rouge regime in 1979.
