Phnom Penh (FN), Nov. 15 – Health Ministry Secretary of State Youk Sambath told Fresh News on 15 November 2020 that Prime Minister Hun Sen has donated an additional 100,000 fabric face masks to the Lao government to combat COVID19.

She underlined that in total there are 12 medical equipment, including 2 million face masks, 100,000 fabric face masks, 20,000 N 95 mask, 20,000 goggles, 20,000 PPE sets, 500 Infra Temperature Manual Check, 20,000 face shields, 20 Ventilator Machine for ICU sets, 20 patient monitors + Accessories Model Vista, 500 containers of ChloramineB Powder, 1,000 safety plastic boots PR, and 2,000 hand liquid soaps.

The premier has assigned Defense Minister Tea Banh as head of the delegation to bring the donation to the government and the people of Laos, to be transported by plane on 16 November.

Yesterday, the premier has sent a letter to Laos Prime Minister Thongloun Sisoulith expressing his sincere thanks for His Excellency's phone call and kind words of greetings and consolation.

"As per our phone call, and in joining hands with Your Excellency's efforts in prevention of COVID19 pandemic, on the behalf of the Government of the Kingdom of Cambodia, I would like to provide a donation of 2 million masks and other medical facilities, the detail of which is attached herewith, to the Government and the people of the Lao PDR,” the premier wrote in the letter dated 14 November.

"I am convinced that under Your Excellency's wise leadership, Lao PDR will be successful in the fight against COVID19, and we will emerge stronger together,” he added.
