Phnom Penh (FN), Dec. 9 – Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen, on Wednesday, announced to distribute COVID19 vaccines to 10 million citizens, speaking at the 9th Ayeyawady-Chao Phraya-Mekong Economic Cooperation Strategy (ACMECS) Summit via video conference.

According to Kao Kim Hourn, delegate minister attached to prime minister, during the meeting, Prime Minister Hun Sen asked all countries to share experiences related to the use of the vaccine.

"Prime Minister also announced that Cambodia plans to buy 1 million doses of COVID19 vaccines, and need need to vaccinate 10 million people in the future,” said Kao Kim Hourn.

To date, Cambodia has confirmed 354 cases of COVID19 with 307 recoveries and no death.

Cambodia has ranked No. 1 in Asia and No. 3 in the world (out of 166 countries) with the best COVID19 control management, according to Senegal's Le Bureau de Prospective Economique.
