Phnom Penh (FN), Dec. 28 – Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Thailand Prayut Chan-o-cha sent a letter to Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the establishment of Cambodia-Thailand diplomatic relationship.

“On the special occasion of the 70th anniversary of the establishment of our diplomatic relations on 19 December 2020, I am very pleased to affirm that the relationship between Thailand and Cambodia has never been stronger, with expanding cooperation and mutual benefit in all fields,” according to the letter dated 19 December 2020.

“As friendly neighbours, our border areas are now enjoying the fruits of enduring peace and stability, with flourishing cross-border trade continuously bringing more jobs and better livelihoods to our peoples. Remarkably, our bilateral trade has grown exponentially from around USD 300 million twenty years ago to well over USD 9 billion in 2019,” Prayut wrote.
