Phnom Penh (FN), Jan. 21 – Though being blamed for undermining the US global posture, Donald Trump has created opportunities for the incoming administration to further influence the political and economic environment in Southeast Asia. This article examines the reassessment of US-ASEAN relations through the reemergence of an Obama-styled engagement with a Biden approach, and how improving ties with Washington would offer Cambodia a larger room to navigate through an acute great power rivalry.
