Phnom Penh (FN), Feb. 1 – Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen, on Monday, requested the European Union (EU) to aid vaccines to Cambodia, and not to prohibit the vaccine exports from Europe to other countries.
"I hope the EU Ambassador will convey a message of Cambodia’s asking for vaccines support to the European Union," said Premier Hun Sen.
The Royal Government of Cambodia will prepare 20 million doses of COVID19 vaccines for 10 million Cambodian people for free of charge.
As of 1 February 2021, Cambodia has confirmed to receive 11 million doses donated by the Kingdom’s development partners. China announced to donate 1 million doses; World Health Organization 7 million doses, and Australia granted USD 28 million to Cambodia for COVID19 vaccines support.
