Phnom Penh (FN), Feb. 3 — At least 600,000 doses of China-aided COVID19 vaccines will arrive Cambodia this weekend, according to Chinese Ambassador to Cambodia Wang Wentian.

Ambassador Wang’s statement was made Wednesday at Preah Keto Mealea Hospital, Phnom Penh where he met with a group of vaccination doctors, with the presences of Defense Minister Tea Banh and Health Minister Mam Bunheng.

The Chinese government announced to provide the Kingdom 1 million doses of COVID19 vaccines and for the first phase, 600,000 doses of Sinopharm vaccines will be delivered this weekend.

Premier Hun Sen said he will go to welcome the vaccines at the airport and will be the first to be vaccinated.

Apart from China’s vaccines, Cambodian government also considers using vaccines from the US, UK, India, and South Korea.
