Phnom Penh (FN), Feb.7 – Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen on Sunday evening said Cambodia also considered to purchase COVID19 vaccines from Thailand and Russia.

“We considered getting from Thailand the AstraZeneca vaccine, which will be produced around May this year… From Thailand is more convenient for us as we are neighbors and the price is around USD 4,” he said.

Cambodian government also considered Russia’s vaccines, which is already approved to use in European countries.

The premier said that the USD 57 million funds donated by the King, Queen Mother and nationwide donors will be enough to purchase 10 million doses of vaccines.
