Phnom Penh (FN), Feb. 10 – Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen said the fact that Lt. General Hun Manet received COVID19 vaccine proved responsibility for compatriots.

"Before the vaccination, there were some comments about my absence from vaccination today due to my age. Some even used inappropriate words against me. Today, my son has become the first to be vaccinated on behalf of his father, which also confirms our responsibility to our compatriots,” Premier Hun Sen wrote on his Facebook page on Wednesday.

“Do not worry about where the vaccine comes from and which brand it is, but one should worry about not getting vaccinated,” he said.

The premier continued that many Cambodian people living in developed countries, approximately 98 per cent, have yet received vaccines even their host countries can afford.

“Vaccines are not available in the market,” he added.

Hun Manet already received COVID19 vaccination earlier this morning at Calmette Hospital.
