Phnom Penh (FN), Apr. 2 — Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen on Friday sent a gratitude letter to Prime Minister of the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam Nguyen Xuan Phuc for the USD 200,000 donation to Cambodia.

“I wish to express my high appreciation to Your Excellency, and through you, to the Government and people of Viet Nam for the donation of 200,000 USD to support the Government of the Kingdom of Cambodia in combating the COVID19 pandemic, and I am heartened by Your Excellency's kind words of encouragement as expressed in your letter dated 31 March 2021,” Prime Minister Hun Sen wrote in the letter.

Premier Hun Sen commends Viet Nam in successfully containing the outbreak of Covid-19 and reaffirms Cambodia's commitment to working closely with Viet Nam in overcoming this unprecedented global crisis.

“I wish to reassure that Cambodia continues to treat all foreigners including the people of Vietnamese origin living in the Kingdom the same way as we do with our own citizens in the protection against the current COVID19 pandemic.”

The premier also expresses his sincere appreciation to the Government of Viet Nam for providing good treatment to the Cambodian community in Viet Nam during this difficult time.
