Phnom Penh (FN), Apr. 26 – Five Cambodian patients living in Kep and Phnom Penh died of COVID19 on 24 April, 25 April and 26 April 2021, according to the Ministry of Health's announcement dated Monday.

A 58-year-old Cambodian woman from Phnom Penh was tested positive on 22 April 2021. She had diabetes and passed away at 23:45 on 24 April 2021.

A 41-year-old Cambodian man from Kep was tested positive on 21 April 2021. He had ascites and passed away at 18:10 on 24 April 2021.

A 51-year-old Cambodian man from Phnom Penh was tested positive on 20 April 2021. He had diabetes and passed away at 12:43 on 25 April 2021.

A 32-year-old Cambodian man from Phnom Penh was tested positive on 21 April 2021. He passed away at 15:49 on 25 April 2021.

A 81-year-old Cambodian woman from Phnom Penh was tested positive on 23 April 2021. She passed away at 01:15 on 26 April 2021.

The patients passed away due to severe lung disease and respiratory crisis attacked by COVID19, the ministry confirmed.

To date, Cambodia has registered 79 cases of COVID19 fatality.
