Phnom Penh (FN), Apr. 28 – Cambodia reported 698 new cases of COVID19, while 994 patients recovered on Wednesday, according to the Ministry of Health's press release dated 28 April 2021 (updated as of 9:00 p.m).

The newly infected patient is a 18-year-old Cambodian migrant worker returning from Thailand to Cambodia on 26 April 2021.

The other 697 are patients involved in February 20 community event. They are Cambodian, Indonesian and Chinese nationals from Kampong Speu, Pursat, Takeo, Kandal, Banteay Meanchey, Sihanoukville and Phnom Penh.

To date, Cambodia has confirmed 11761 cases of COVID19 with 4198 recoveries and 88 deaths.
