Phnom Penh (FN), Jun. 9 – Cambodian Minister of National Defense Tea Banh reaffirmed no Chinese military bases on the Kingdom’s coast and that Cambodia does not allow any countries to build their military base on the Kingdom’s territories.

Banh spoke Wednesday at the ceremony to deposit first drop of Cambodia’s oil at the Win-Win Memorial.

Several US media outlets have accused Cambodia for allowing China to set up military bases on her territory. Cambodia has repeatedly denied the allegations.

The question is if the US’ satellites can catch the image of huge building, which Chinese naval ships and airplanes can escape the US’ eyes?

Cambodia firmly adheres to the principles of independence and neutrality enshrined in the Constitution, which strictly forbids the presence of any foreign military base in the Kingdom.

Cambodia’s constitution said the Kingdom shall not permit any foreign military base on its territory and shall not have its own military base abroad, except within the framework of a United Nations request.
