Phnom Penh (FN), Jul. 29 – Phnom Penh governor Khuong Sreng, on Thursday, issued a decision on travel restrictions and other measures in Phnom Penh to fight against COVID19, effective from 12:00 a.m. Thursday, 29 July 2021 to 12:00 a.m. Thursday, 12 August 2021.

The measures include temporary bans on all gatherings of more than 10 people and traveling from 9 p.m. to 3 a.m.

Cambodian government, on 28 July, also announced a 14-day lockdowns of all provinces bordering Thailand to curb Delta variant transmission. The eight provinces include Koh Kong, Pursat, Battambang, Pailin, Banteay Meanchey, Oddar Meanchey, Preah Vihear and Siem Reap.

To date, Cambodia has confirmed 75,917 cases of COVID19 with 68,386 recoveries and 1,350 deaths.
