Phnom Penh (FN), Jul. 31 — The packages of 1 million doses of China-aided Sinopharm vaccine arrived Cambodia on Sunday.

According to Chinese Embassy in Cambodia’s Facebook page, this is the fifth batch of COVID19 vaccines donated by the Chinese government and her people to Cambodia. So far, Cambodia received 3.2 million China-aided vaccines.

Since the outbreak of the COVID19 pandemic, China and Cambodia have helped each other and overcome the difficulties together.

In the near future, China will also provide Cambodia with emergency COVID19 medical supplies worth USD 3 million, including medical oxygen concentrators, ventilators and protective clothing, to help Cambodia combat the pandemic.

"China and Cambodia are good friends sharing a common destiny. China will continue to be Cambodia’s strong strategic supplier of COVID19 vaccine, and will unswervingly support Cambodia in the COVID19 battle. As long as Cambodia is still fighting against the pandemic, China will continue to assist Cambodia."

Cambodian government commits 20 million doses of COVID19 vaccines to vaccinate 10 million Cambodian people for free of charge.

As of 31 July, the Kingdom has vaccinated over 7.3 million people, an equivalent to 73% completion of vaccination program.
