Phnom Penh (FN). Aug. 1 — Cambodian prime minister Hun Sen reiterated that Cambodia accepts aids from all countries, but considers China as a strategic supplier of COVID19 vaccines.

The premier spoke at the opening ceremony of the COVID19 vaccination campaign for children on Sunday.

The premier said that Cambodia commits to work with countries around the world, especially neighboring countries, including Vietnam, Thailand, Laos and other countries in the region to fight COVID19.

“The Kingdom works with other partners such as the World Health Organization, Pasteur, USCDC, UNICEF, COVAX, which indicates that Cambodia adheres to the multilateral foreign policy; therefore one should not say that Hun Sen depends on China, because Cambodia also cooperates with Japan, the United States, UK and Australia,” said the prime minister Hun Sen.

As of August 1, the Kingdom has received over 19 million doses of COVID19, and expected to receive a total of 26.6 million doses of COVID19 vaccine by end of August and get everyone vaccinated by November 2021.
