Phnom Penh (FN), Aug. 17 – Cambodian Health Minister Mam Bunheng, on Thursday morning, presided over the handover ceremony of medical equipment to Myanmar to help fight against the COVID19 pandemic.

In the spirit of friendship and solidarity between the two countries, in addition to Cambodia's pledge of USD 100,000 for the ASEAN humanitarian assistance to Myanmar through AHA Centre, the Royal Government of Cambodia donated USD 200,000 in cash.

Other medical equipment includes: 3 million Face Masks, 500,000 Rapid Tests, Personal Protection Equipment- PPE 2.000 sets, 100 units of Oxygen Concentrator, 20 units of Ventilator Machine and 20 units of Patient Monitor + Accessories as enclosed herewith, to the Republic of the Union of Myanmar.

“This generous donation would greatly expand our health care service provision capacity of the country and enhance our response to COVID19 pandemic. It is also a perfect symbol of the growing friendship and cooperation between Myanmar and Cambodia," said Burmese Senior General Min Aung Hlaing.
