Phnom Penh (FN), Aug. 24 – Pen Vuthy, former member of the steering committee of the court-dissolved Cambodia National Rescue Party, announced the defection to the ruling Cambodian People's Party.

"After witnessing the lacks of leadership and patriotism in Kem Sokha and Sam Rainsy, I want to join and serve Cambodian People’s Party under the wise leadership of prime minister Hun Sen,” Pen Vuthy wrote in a letter seen by Fresh News on Tuesday.

Pen Vuthy made a decision after former leader Kem Sokha’s aide Muth Chantha revealed the 12 points showing that Sam Rainsy and Kem Sokha are not “one person”.
