Phnom Penh (FN), Sep. 27 – Cambodian prime minister Hun Sen announced to donate 200,000 doses of Sinovac vaccine to Lao PDR, according to Health Ministry’s spokesperson Or Vandine.

Ouch Borith, Foreign Ministry’s secretary of state, representing the premier, will preside over the handover ceremony of the vaccines to the Lao government tomorrow, 28 September 2021.

The ceremony will take place at Trapiangkriel International Border Checkpoint between Cambodia’s Stung Treng province and Laos’ Champasak province.

The vaccine donation aims to improve the welfare of the Lao people in the fight against COVID19.

The Royal Government of Cambodia, so far, has donated COVID19 vaccines and medical equipment to Myanmar, East Timor, Laos, Viet Nam and Nepal.
