Phnom Penh (FN), Sep. 28 – An additional of Cambodia-aided 200,000 doses of Sinovac vaccine have been delivered to Lao PDR.

Ouch Borith, Cambodian Foreign Ministry’s secretary of state, representing Cambodian prime minister Hun Sen, handed over the vaccines to Bounfeng Phommalaysith, health minister of Lao PDR.

The vaccines have been delivered at the Cambodia-Lao international check point Trapang Kreal-Nong Nok Kien on 28 September 2021.

"In the spirit of our traditional solidarity and friendship between our two sister countries, the Royal Government of Cambodia would like to present to the Government of the Lao P.D.R an additional package of 200,000 doses of vaccines (Sinovac) to contribute to your country's endeavor to fight against this deadly disease," the premier wrote in a letter, addressed to Lao premier Phankham Viphavanh.

The Royal Government of Cambodia, so far, has donated COVID19 vaccines and medical equipment to Myanmar, East Timor, Laos, Viet Nam and Nepal.
