Phnom Penh (FN), Sep. 28 – Cambodia garment and footwear workers will receive the minimum wage of USD 194 next year despite COVID19 pandemic, according to the Ministry of Labour and Vocational Training’s announcement seen by Fresh News on Tuesday.

Workers will also receive other benefits, such as partial travel and accommodation expenses, work performance reward, meal allowance and seniority bonus.

The 2021 minimum wage is USD 192 a month, up from the USD 190 in 2020 and USD 189 in 2019.

The Royal Government of Cambodia has set a policy to increase the minimum wage of garment workers every year.
