Phnom Penh (FN), Sep. 28 – The Royal Government of Cambodia will dispatch 300 blue berets, 26 females, to Mali on 1 October 2021 to carry out United Nations peacekeeping missions.

Cambodia used to receive United Nations peacekeeping forces to operate peacekeeping mission on a war-torn kingdom. Today, Cambodia dispatches Cambodian peacekeepers to global peace mission.

Cambodia, since 2006, has sent over 7,500 peacekeepers to carry out UN peacekeeping missions in Sudan, South Sudan, Lebanon, Cyprus, Syria, Chad, Mali and Central African Republic.

Nowadays, the kingdom has 788 troops conducting missions in five countries, including Sudan, South Sudan, Mali, Central African Republic, and Lebanon working as gendarmeries, observers, and staff in the fields of demining, construction, and airport engineering.
