Phnom Penh (FN), Oct. 6 – Cambodian justice minister Koeut Rith, on Wednesday, sent a letter to Cypriot justice minister Stephie Dracos, requesting the cooperation to look into false allegations claiming that premier Hun Sen holds a Cypriot passport or Cypriot citizenship.

“Premier Hun Sen holds only Cambodian citizenship and has repeatedly declared publicly in front of the Cambodian people the unwavering political position: [We stay with Cambodian people through thick and thin and will never run away no matter how difficult the circumstances is],” according to the letter seen by Fresh News on Wednesday.

Therefore, Cambodian Ministry of Justice requested the cooperation of the Cypriot justice minister to look into this case in order to ensure the honor and dignity of the Kingdom and the premier.
