Phnom Penh (FN), Oct. 26 – Cambodian delegate minister Kao Kim Hourn said ASEAN leaders adopted 13 important documents at the 38th and 39th ASEAN Summits, held Tuesday under the theme “We Care, We Prepare, We Prosper”.

In the 38th ASEAN Summit, the leaders discussed two key agendas, including the ASEAN community building and response to COVID19 pandemic, while the 39th ASEAN Summit touched on external relations and ASEAN centrality, and exchange of views on regional and international issues.

The leaders have also jointly approved 13 important documents, including:

1. Bandar Seri Begawan Declaration on the ASEAN Strategic and Holistic Initiative to Link ASEAN Responses to Emergencies and Disasters.

2. ASEAN Leaders’ Declaration on Upholding Multilateralism.

3. ASEAN Leaders’ Declaration on the Blue Economy.

4. High-Level Task Force for the Post-2025 Community Vision and a Roadmap for the Development of the Post-2025 Vision.

5. Consolidated Strategy on the Fourth Industrial Revolution (4IR) for ASEAN.

6. ASEAN Leaders' Statement on Modernization and Transformation in the ASEAN Region.

7. ASEAN Comprehensive Framework on Care Economy.

8. ASEAN Strategic Policy Framework on Promoting an Adaptive Community of Fostering Greater Understanding, Tolerance and a Sense of Regional Agendas among the Peoples of ASEAN.

9. ASEAN Joint Statement on Climate Change at the 26th United Nations Climate Change Conference of the Parties (COP26).

10. Bandar Seri Begawan Declaration on the Importance of Family for Community Development and Nation Building.

11. ASEAN Declaration on Promoting Competitiveness, Resilience and Agility of Worker for the Future of Work.

12. ASEAN Leaders' Declaration on Reformulation and Production of Healthier Food and Beverage Options.

13. Declaration on the Elimination of Bullying of Children in ASEAN.
