Phnom Penh (FN), Nov. 8 – Australian foreign minister and minister for women Marise Payne held bilateral talks with Cambodian foreign minister Prak Sokhonn on Monday at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, following a courtesy call on Cambodian premier Hun Sen.

During the bilateral meeting, various aspects of bilateral cooperation as well as regional and international issues of common interest and concern were discussed, including Cambodia’s ASEAN Chairmanship in 2022.

In Phnom Penh, Marise Payne also visited the Cambodian Women’s Crisis Center, welcomed by Cambodian minister of women’s affairs Ing Kantha Phavi.

Payne's official visit to Cambodia reaffirms Australia’s commitment to working more closely with the Kingdom to further enhance relations in both bilateral and multilateral frameworks for mutual benefits of the two countries.
