Phnom Penh (FN), Nov. 9 – Cambodian prime minister Hun Sen, on Tuesday, with Janez Jansa, prime minister of the Republic of Slovenia and European Union’s rotating president.

Within the bilateral framework, premier Hun Sen and Janez Jansa agreed to strengthen and expand Cambodia-Slovenia cooperation in potential areas, including economy, trade, tourism, health and other sectors such as exchange visits.

Prime minister Hun Sen agreed to entrust the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the two countries to review the arrangement of visa waivers for diplomats and officials between the two countries.

Within the multilateral framework, the two leaders agreed to strengthen cooperation in the fight against COVID19 pandemic, promote ASEAN-EU free trade talks and jointly organize a successful ASEAN Summit in 2022.

On that occasion, Janez Jansa also invited premier Hun Sen to visit Slovenia. The kingdom’s premier accepted the invitation and pledged to visit Slovenia early next year.
