Kampong Cham (FN), Nov. 23 – Cambodian prime minister Hun Sen urged all Cambodians living in the United States, especially those who love and support the Cambodian People's Party (CPP), to protest against convict Sam Rainsy, who wish to revoke American citizenship from CPP’s supporters living in America.

The premier spoke at the inauguration ceremony of Cambodia-China Friendship Bridge Stung Trang-Kroch Chhmar on Tuesday at Kompong Cham Province.

Some Cambodian officials serving in the Royal Government also hold American citizenship and are working every day and yet their American citizenships have yet revoked by the American government, the premier said.

"He [Rainsy] warned to withdraw American citizenship from Cambodians who support the CPP and that drives strong reactions from Cambodians living at the states. Rainsy dares to threaten to revoke American citizenship while he is powerless,” the premier added.

A senior official of the Royal Government of Cambodia Phay Siphan, who also holds American citizenship, declared his full support for Cambodians overseas to protest against Rainsy’s groundless statement.
