Phnom Penh (FN), Nov. 24 – Cambodia and Viet Nam should have a cooperation agreement on agriculture along the border areas, Cambodian prime minister Hun Sen told the Vietnamese ambassador to Cambodia Nguyen Huy Tang during a courtesy call at Peace Palace on Wednesday.

According to the premier’s personal assistant Eang Sophalleth, during the meeting, Samdech noted the growth of trade volume between the two countries despite COVID19, and urged further growth in the future.

Cambodian premier eyed agreement on agriculture along the border areas, which covers the supply of raw materials, crop seeds, the use of water along the border, the fight against pests and more.

Ambassador Nguyen Huy Tang expressed his pleasure to do mission in Cambodia. He also thanked premier Hun Sen for donating medical equipment and COVID19 vaccines to Viet Nam, and congratulated the Royal Government of Cambodia for effective COVID19 control and vaccination program.

Ambassador Huy Tang commits to working hard to improve Cambodia-Viet Nam relations through diplomacy, politics, security, defense, trade, investment, economy, agriculture and the fight against COVID19 as well as other sectors.
