Phnom Penh (FN), Nov. 24 – Cambodian foreign minister Prak Sokhonn had a telephone conversation with US State of Department counselor Derek Chollet to discuss bilateral and regional issues of common interests and concerns on 23 November 2021.

"Cambodian foreign minister emphasized that Cambodia highly values relations with the United States, which despite some difficulties, have been on the right track and growing in many areas including trade and investment, health, agriculture, culture, demining, Peacekeeping, POW/MIA, repatriation, and Peace Corps Volunteers," according to a press release seen by Fresh News on Wednesday.

"In thanking the United States for providing assistances to Cambodia in various fields, he expressed hope to see more constructive engagement and closer cooperation between the two countries, thereby enhancing mutual confidence. Both sides committed to further promote friendly ties and expand cooperation in all potential sectors."
