Phnom Penh (FN), Nov. 29 – Cambodian prime minister Hun Sen requested Lao prime minister Phankham Viphavanh to consider setting up travel bubble between the two countries, speaking at a bilateral meeting at the Peace Palace on Monday.

Cambodia allowed fully vaccinated travelers to enter the kingdom without quarantine. Although fully vaccinated travelers are no longer required to quarantine, they must still do rapid test. Those who have not been vaccinated are required to do a PCR test and a 14-day quarantine.

In the meeting, Lao premier proposed to strengthen cooperation on bilateral trade, investment, education, culture and tourism.

In this regard, prime minister Hun Sen requested his Lao counterpart to ensure that the two countries’ people can travel across the border for business and trade. Samdech also supports the promotion of Cambodia-Laos bilateral trade by boosting investment and supporting investors, as investment is a key to enhance political, economic and other cooperation.
