Phnom Penh (FN), Nov. 30 – Lao prime minister Phankham Viphavanh and a delegation departed Phnom Penh, Cambodia, at around 12 pm on Tuesday, after concluding a fruitful two-day visit.

During his visit to Cambodia, Lao prime minister paid royal audience to Cambodian king Norodom Sihamoni at the Royal Palace. He also had a bilateral meeting with Cambodian prime minister Hun Sen, and paid courtesy calls on president of the Senate Say Chhum and president of the National Assembly Heng Samrin.

In the bilateral meeting, Cambodian premier Hun Sen announced to donate USD 13 million and 500,000 doses of Sinovac vaccine to the Lao government and the people to fight against COVID19.

The official visit of Phankham Viphavanh to Cambodia during the reopening of the Kingdom contributed to further consolidate the bonds of traditional friendship, fraternal solidarity, good neighborliness, long-lasting comprehensive strategic partnership and close cooperation between the two countries, as well as enhance the cooperation within the ASEAN frameworks for peace, stability and prosperity in the region and beyond.
