Phnom Penh (FN), Dec. 15 – Cambodian prime minister Hun Sen was awarded with the Order of Friendship medal from the Russian Government for his significant contribution in maintaining and strengthening the Cambodian-Russian relations.

This medal was presented by Nikolai Patrushev, secretary of the Security Council of the Russian Federation, during his courtesy call on the premier on Wednesday at the Peace Palace.

The Order of Friendship is a state decoration of the Russian Federation established by Boris Yeltsin by presidential decree 442 of 2 March 1994 to reward Russian and foreign nationals whose work, deeds and efforts have been aimed at the betterment of relations with the Russian Federation and its people.
